Our Story

History of TKPEA

Tet Kole Pou Ede Ayisyen

TKPEA began in the year 2009 as the vision of Michel Orestal, a passionate leader with a deep commitment to helping Haitians both in Florida and Haiti. Witnessing the struggles of Haitian families facing economic hardship, social marginalization, and limited access to essential resources, Orestal was inspired to create an organization that would offer practical support and empower these communities.

Initially, TKPEA focused on providing direct aid to families, including food and essential supplies. However, Orestal recognized that lasting change would require more than immediate relief which would need sustainable solutions. He expanded TKPEA’s mission to include educational programs, and skills development initiatives designed to foster self-reliance and economic independence.

Today, TKPEA stands as a testament to Orestal’s original vision, now encompassing a wide range of programs, from youth leadership and community services to immigration and legal support. The organization’s work continues to uplift Haitian families and individuals, empowering them to build a brighter, more sustainable future.
